LEMAY BUOYED BY FIVE NEW GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN

News February 17, 2017

Lemay’s people are beaming after winning big at the 10th annual Grands Prix du Design gala.

The five projects ran the gamut, in categories as wide-ranging as landscape architecture and student design to lighting, offices and best use of wood. Congratulations to our transdisciplinary team!

Lowney sur Ville, Lemay’s urban condo development and “ode to integrated design,” won for Terrace and Residential Landscaping, Housing Project, with its funky rooftop lounges and panoramic city views.

Lemay’s design of Pomerleau’s Lévis office “allows the outdoors to be brought inside” and won for Best use of wood – Interior Design.

Lemay’s “discreet positioning of the light and its subtle contribution to the sleek design” of Pavilion Global Markets’ 40th floor offices in Montreal earned the Special Prize for Lighting.

Andrée-Anne Ledoux, a young interior design graduate now part of the Lemay team, scooped up FERDIE’s Student Award for the Bollard building, a reinvention of the “maison de la culture” concept.

And “Montreal’s DNA is at the very heart of” Lemay’s design of Espace CDPQ, an international SME investment and innovation hub, which received an Honourable mention in the Office, more than 20,000 ft2 category.
