Lemay innovates with a new sustainability tool for cities

January 5, 2017

As part of implementing Brossard’s new master plan, Lemay is proud to have created, in collaboration with Brossard city officials, an innovative system for evaluating all future developments inside the Panama and Quartier transit-oriented developments (TODs) of Montreal’s south shore.

“It’s innovative because it goes beyond the usual qualitative objectives and criteria, introducing a minimum of points that new developments must attain and specific Brossard-related issues they must address,”  said Lemay principal Marie-Claude Aubin, who developed the instrument in collaboration with her colleagues Stéphanie Fortin and Jean-François Morneau.

The system allows the City to objectively assess proposed projects’ contribution to Brossard’s sustainable development objectives for urban planning.
