Andrew King will co-host both a conference on hospitals of the future and an interactive design session at the 13th learning seminar by the Canadian Centre for Healthcare Facilities (CCHF).
The Lemay partner and co-lead of the LemayLAB will be joined by Elizabeth Rack, healthcare planning principal at Chicago’s Perkins + Will, in facilitating the design session and in presenting design innovations for hospitals’ research, teaching and clinical environments.
Andrew King has been committed to design excellence, education and the architectural profession for three decades. He has been recognized with architecture’s highest design prizes and awards, including the Canada Council for the Arts’ Prix de Rome, two Canadian Architect Awards of Excellence and two American Institute of Architecture Progressive Architecture (P/A) Awards. Through this and his widely recognized leadership on Montreal’s CHUM super-hospital, he has become a respected voice for design excellence in P3 and healthcare project design.
Entitled “Transforming Healthcare Environments,” the two-day event highlights case studies and research that are transforming healthcare facilities to meet patient, family and staff needs. It will run May 15 and 16, 2017, at the Ottawa Hospital.
