Lemay made sure not to miss out on the inauguration of La Place des Canadiens, now lcoated in la Cour Rio Tinto, between the Bell Centre, Windsor Station and the newly built Deloitte Tower. Geoff Molson, owner, president and CEO of the Montreal Canadiens, Alfredo Berrios, CEO of Rio Tinto and former defenseman and Hall of Famer Guy Lapointe celebrated the inauguration of this new public square with a ribbon cutting ceremony, which officially launched the 2015-2016 hockey season. Seven years after the inauguration the Centennial Plaza, which the relocation was due to the construction of the Tour des Canadiens, La Place des Canadiens will serve again as a gathering spot for the numerous fans. Lemay was in charge of La Place des Canadiens’s landscape architecture while harmonizing it with Deloittes current public square.
