Creating a workplace that fosters creativity by drawing inspiration from the dynamism and diversity of Ottawa's urban landscapes
Following the design of Accenture’s Montreal office, the challenge of this second mandate was to create an environment that would be connected yet distinct, properly representing the identity of the city, clients, and work teams of each location. In other words, the goal was to conceive two workspaces united by a single identity.
Spanning 1,005 m², Accenture’s Ottawa office reflects both the organization’s personality and the DNA of the city in which it resides. At once innovative, vibrant, and dynamic, Accenture’s brand identity has been thoughtfully adapted to the understated, refined, and elegant style that defines Canada’s capital—a city celebrated for its diversity, cultural institutions, and thriving neighbourhoods.
The materiality and forms chosen to design the space reflect this duality, notably through the presence of natural elements such as wood and plants, alongside the selection of warm colours and numerous rounded elements that contribute to the welcoming and convivial character of the work environment.
The design is completed by the strategic use of white and black, the application of dynamic textures, and the choice of stainless steel—elements that confer a touch of modernism faithful to the company’s avant-garde nature. Accenture’s identity is further reflected in the spatial arrangement that promotes fluidity by enabling quick access to a diversity of collaboration spaces, thereby stimulating the creativity of Accenture’s team members.
