Splendidly highlighting our heritage

At the heart of Old Quebec, Lemay’s redevelopment of the City Hall parterres creates a public space for citizens and visitors that is both welcoming and architecturally exquisite. The newly accessible site features a public square with ornamental gardens, paths, fountains and a statement-making oval area leading to the building’s main entrance.

A design respectful of the place’s heritage value, the use of noble materials and judicious planting selections bring out the architectural qualities of the prestigious building.  Located over an indoor parking area, the project introduces such innovations as a complex machinery room and a fountain overtop flagstones and lightweight concrete, stone artwork inspired by the heritage architecture and the now-famous Jura clock.
