An urban jewel at the heart of the prestigious Tour des Canadiens

The Windsor Quad Skybridge is a dazzling, sculptural object framed by the city. Accessible to the public, this architectural landmark will be built across Saint-Antoine St. to connect Tour des Canadiens 2 (TDC2) and TDC3 to the Deloitte Tower and Bell Centre. The covered walkway will link Downtown Montreal and neighbourhoods to the south, creating direct access to the new Quad Windsor community, Montreal’s extensive Underground City (RÉSO) and the future Réseau express métropolitain (REM) light-rail network.

This urban treasure may be appreciated for its formal and material qualities in harmony with its soft, delicate luminosity and thoughtful finishing.

Its unique column, and central point of the concept, has the advantage of minimally impacting the ground plane, lightly connecting the towers without hindering traffic. From the outside, the mass of the pillar contrasts with the transparent and ephemeral essence of the span, while the latter’s curvature adds further interest to the progression of the pedestrians inside.
