Our team has had the immense honour of receiving a Governor General’s Medal in Architecture for the revitalization of the Théâtre de Verdure.

Awarded every two years by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, this prize means a great deal to us as it underlines our ongoing commitment to the creation of inspiring, inclusive, and sustainable places which bring communities together.

To celebrate this incredible news, we wanted to give a voice to the people who make the theatre shine and come to life: We had the pleasure of speaking with Hélène Martel, singer with the Oktoécho ensemble, about her experiences on this unique stage.

We invite you to view an excerpt from this conversation below, and to visit the RAIC website for more details on the Governor General’s Medals in Architecture and its other winning projects in years past and present.

Bravo to everyone involved in this exciting project, and a special thanks to Hélène for sharing her story!
