On October 20 from 11 – 12 pm, Andrew King, Leslie Jen and David T. Fortin will explore the notions and nuances of Canadian design. From coast to coast, Canadian design and architecture are as diverse as its people, culture and climate. Notions of placemaking, vernacular and storytelling all come together under this concept of Canadiana.

Panelists:

  • Andrew King – Chief Design Officer, Lemay
  • Leslie Jen – Author of Canadian Architecture: Evolving a Cultural Identity, Director of Marketing, Superkül
  • David T. Fortin – Principal Architect, Associate Professor, McEwen School of Architecture

Join us as this panel explores the nuances of what makes Canadian design identity and how ideas of engagement, indigeneity, and materiality enter the design conversation.
