Modernity, sustainability, innovation

Lemay won an international competition to develop a new seaside promenade for Casablanca’s Hassan II Mosque and the Ain Diab corniche in Morocco, along five kilometres of coast. Both residents and visitors will benefit from a wide range of facilities, activities and public services as a result. They will be able to enjoy new rest areas, walkways, outdoor sports facilities and breathtaking views of the Atlantic, all without leaving the city.

Designed in harmony with its environment, the promenade is based on three functions: a venue for festivities, a seaside and a nature preserve area. Inspired by the classic, multi-tiered Islamic garden, the design offers a formal procession from city to sea, through a series of landscaped layers.
