A model of sustainable urban design

This sweeping master plan by Lemay transitions a sizeable undeveloped parcel of suburban Toronto, currently hosting a horse-racing and gaming venue, into a highly accessible mixed-use community and destination for shopping, entertainment and events.

Lemay also developed a concept for the multifunctional Woodbine Square, a mixed-use gateway development adjoining the grandstand and a future performance centre project. A health and wellness campus, a new multimodal station and public gathering spaces are part of a unique transport-oriented development (TOD) unifying the entire Woodbine site.

The site’s proposed design and functions integrate with the existing community, and connect multiple surrounding greenspaces, to show leadership in sustainability, urban design, multimodal mobility and user experience.
