People from MSDL, NFOE and Lemay receiving a prize at the OAQ Gala

We’re excited to announce that the Université de Montréal’s Sciences Complex has been recognized with an Award of Excellence by the Ordre des architectes du Québec!

Developed in consortium with MSDL and NFOE Architectes, the award recognized the project for breaking ground on the revitalization of links between two boroughs through a single, expansive presence.

Here’s what the jury had to say (translated from the original French):

“This centrepiece of the rehabilitation of Outremont’s former marshalling yard provides the Université de Montréal with new spaces for research and teaching that are rich, diversified, and stimulating, forging fluid links between two neighborhoods that until now have been compartmentalized.”

One of only 8 projects which were awarded this prize at this year’s gala, we’re incredibly proud of this accomplishment by our teams and collaborators, working together to create a truly innovative place for future generations of students.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners!
