The Quartier des lumières project has earned a record-setting three-star rating under Fitwel Community certification, a standard that the new neighbourhood has helped to define and that encourages development strategies that benefit health and well-being.

The project team created an innovative master plan, supported by sustainable strategies, to develop a mixed-use neighbourhood in Montreal’s Centre-Sud district, anchored by the iconic Maison Radio-Canada tower.

The proposed new urban grid includes public squares and parks, as well as shared paths and spaces, pedestrian crossings and green alleyways throughout.

These new public and semi-public spaces will also be conducive to the emergence of community life and neighbourhood vibrancy.

This urban fabric will create a dynamic living environment to support the presence of local businesses.
