The Centre de glaces Intact Assurance had the honour of receiving an IOC IPC IAKS Architecture Prize from the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities.

Selected from among 22 different countries’ competition entries including but not limited to Australia, Germany, Canada, Nepal, Thailand, and Brazil, the Centre de glaces Intact Assurance won in the “Indoor facilities for sports, leisure and recreation” category.

Highlighting the sports facility on an international stage, these prizes recognize projects which are setting new standards of sustainability, accessibility, and innovation in sports and leisure facilities. In the Centre de glaces Intact Assurance’s case, the ability of its design—developed in consortium with Ardoises Architecture—to enable all people’s enjoyment of ice sports.

Furthermore, we’re proud that the Centre de glaces Intact Assurance was among the majority showing of Canadian projects which propelled the country to lead nationally at this year’s awards.
