What began with an honourable mention for Grand Théâtre’s concept ends with an award for the final.

This isn’t Lemay’s first IDA award for the Grand Théâtre de Québec: Back in 2018 when the preservation project was at the conceptual stage, the IDAs had awarded it an honourable mention in architecture.

After rising to the challenges of this project in a way that allowed theatregoers to access and benefit from the Grand Théâtre as work was completed, the project was completed in 2020, going on to win Gold in the Architecture/Renovation category. It’s a commendable conclusion for this theatre’s encore performance and demonstrates what positive collaborations can achieve.

Honourable Mentions

Humaniti is on a roll this year, garnering recognition for the second time since its official opening last summer. Offering visitors and residents alike a unique connection to art and city life from its position at the heart of Montreal, the vertical community received an honourable mention in the mixed-use category.

Last but not least, the exemplary shopping experience found inside the Holt Renfrew Ogilvy in downtown Montreal earned an honourable mention in the interior design category for its distinct, yet cohesive identity found throughout its floors.
