Maestria has been recognized through the 2026 Awards Program from the Council on Vertical Urbanism, an international organization dedicated to advancing the future of tall buildings and sustainable urban development.
Located in Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles, Maestria explores how high-rise residential architecture can contribute to a more connected urban experience. Designed as two interconnected towers integrated within one of the city’s most active cultural districts, the project brings together housing, public space, retail, amenities, and shared gathering spaces within a dense downtown environment.
Central to the project is the suspended skybridge linking the towers above the city. Both an engineering achievement and a social space, the structure creates new opportunities for interaction, shared experience, and new perspectives over Montreal.
The recognition highlights Maestria’s broader approach to vertical living: one that considers density not only as a question of height and efficiency, but as an opportunity to foster connection and collective urban experience.
Congratulations to the teams and collaborators who contributed to bringing the project to life, and thanks to the council for this distinction.
