The Gold recognized at the Arabia Property Awards

The Gold, in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, has won an award at the 2026 Arabia Property Awards in the Leisure Architecture category.

This recognition highlights an approach to commercial architecture that puts climate, comfort and community life at the heart of the experience. In a setting where climatic conditions profoundly reshape how outdoor spaces can be used, The Gold explores a different way of designing a destination: as a place people come to meet, stroll and spend time.

A Third International Recognition

The Arabia Property Awards prize adds to two distinctions earned in 2025: a Jury Winner at the Archello Awards in the Unbuilt Project of the Year category, along with a LOOP Design Award in commercial architecture.

This series of accolades sheds light on a vision that moves beyond the traditional function of retail to envision commercial destinations as places for living, meeting and experience, deeply rooted in their context.

In a region where major destination projects are rapidly redefining urban landscapes, this approach also opens a reflection on the role architecture and design can play in creating places suited to local climatic realities.
